You Are Here is a photo essay marking the culmination of five months living and studying abroad. Shot during my travels throughout Italy and the European continent, You Are Here explores the ideas of place and placelessness, and the influence of a given location and setting on the angle and composition of the shot. As I found myself constantly in transit on buses, trams, metros, and planes, moving from place to place and moving in and out of hotels and hostels, I concentrated on capturing both place character specific to the location and the emptiness of a well-defined place. The end result was a collection of photographs that spoke volumes the locations they depicted, with every angle, focus, and figure helping to tell the story of how they got there and what the place represents.

Below you'll find a sample of images from this series. The entire collection can be purchased as a book here.
